    >Can anyone recommend a reliable site for Grasshopper Sparrow in the Wildcat Canyon/Tilden Park area?

A traditional spot where I discovered them years ago is the Conlon Trail in
Wildcat Canyon. They are usually singing from the flowering Cardoon
Thistles in the vicinity of the high tension power lines.

A scope is helpful. Good luck.
