    All;

    Was in Mitchell Canyon Thurdsay morning (5/1) 7 a.m. to noon with Tony
    Brake. The Calliope HBs are still there. It takes a little patience and some
    luck to see them, but we got several good looks.

    We saw them a few feet beyond the tall dead oak tree on the left side of Red
    Road Trail about 1/3 mile from the Mitchell Canyon Road junction.

    They were down in White Canyon, not up in the sage. They seemed to favor
    chasing the Anna's HB that had claimed the top of the dead oak tree. Saw
    about 5 total.

    They were pretty active between 9:30 and 11 when we passed through.

    About 1/8 mile further up Red Road Trail, where trees cover the road, is
    good warbler watching.

    Good Birding
