    Seen today -
    
    American White Pelican - 5 were seen flying over Winton Ave. This is only the second April record I have for the shoreline.
    
    Snow Goose - 1 at the San Leandro Marina, east of Monarch Bay Dr. opposite the San Leandro Marina Inn.
    
    Cackling Goose - 1 flew over Winton Ave. The only later records I have for the shoreline are in 2007.
    
    Redhead - 2 (male and female) in the city ponds, seen from Mt. Trashmore.
    
    Merlin - 1 seen at the mouth of San Lorenzo Creek. The only later records I have for the shoreline are in 2007.
    
    Lesser Yellowlegs - 1 in Ora Loma Marsh at low tide.
    
    Red Knot - Over 150 were seen on an incomming tide at the mouth of San Lorenzo Creek. Last Thurs. several hundred were seen at Frank's Dump West (the water level is dropping quickly).
    
    Eurasin Collared Dove - 1 at Winton Ave.
    
    Rufous Hummingbird - 1 male at Winton Ave. shortly after noon.
    
    Hooded Oriole - 1 seen where they nested last year in Frank's East Trees.
