Hiked up Mitchell Canyon today (north side of Mt
Diablo) and a mile up White Canyon. Spectacular
    7-warbler hike!
Missed the Calliope Hummingbird that others had
    reported.
    Highlights included:
Nashville, Hermit, Townsend's, Yellow Rumped, Orange
Crowned, Black Throated Grey, & Wilson's warblers

Lazuli Bunting & Black headed grosbeaks
(on Mitchell Canyon trail 100 yds past the turn off
    for White Canyon)

Hooded Orioles & Western Kingbirds (one mile up WHite
Canyon at the top of the hill)

Ash throated flycatchers (near the entrance)

Afterwards, I went to a few hot spots:
The Bald Eagle was on the nest at Calaveras Reservoir
Also saw a Golden Eagle and a Praire Falcon harassing
    a Red Tail

Lark Sparrows at mp 6.21 on Patterson Pass, but no-joy
    on the Blue Grosbeak.

Tri-color blackbirds at the pond at Dalton & Ames in
    Livermore

Eurasian Collared Doves at Murrieta's Well Winery in
    S. Livermore. The Great Horned Owl nest was
    unoccupied at the time.
