    Some, anyway. I walked by the nature center today and saw about 15 
    cormorants in or around nests on the island trees. One of the trees they 
    used to nest in has collapsed to the point where it may not be 
    habitable, but the rest are OK - and have many unclaimed nest sites.
    
    A far cry from the uncountable hordes that I'd expect at this time of 
    year... but a whole lot better than two weeks ago.
    
    And one Snowy Egret was perched in one of the nest sites that species 
    used to use, so maybe there's hope for this year's egret rookery too.
