    Hi birders,

Early this afternoon, I saw at least three, and possibly four, SWAINSON'S
HAWKS in far eastern Alameda County. I had the first bird (light morph) on
Mountain House Rd. just after turning off of Grant Line Rd. It was harassing a
sub-adult Golden Eagle. The eagle appeared unconcerned. Later I had another
light morph near the intersection of Lindeman & Herndlyn (just inside the
county line), and one at the intersection of Lindeman & Byron Highway (these
two may have been the same bird). More than an hour after my first
encounter, returning to Mountain House Rd., I saw an intermediate/dark morph SWHA.

Later in the day, I had my fos HOUSE WREN (singing) and BULLOCK'S ORIOLE
(chattering) at Sunol Regional Park, close to the bridge near the visitors'
center. Also of note, there was a Red-shouldered Hawk sitting on the nest
adjacent to the bridge (they have nested in this location -- on and off, I think --
    for several years).
