Seen today at the shoreline -

American White Pelican - 7 flying by. This is only the second record I have for March. The other was 3-14-98.

Cackling Goose - 4 on the Radio Tower Hills. Except for 2007, this is the latest spring record I have for the shoreline.

Eurasian Wigeon - 1 see at the mouth of Bockman Channel by Peter Dramer. I only have 2 later records at the shoreline. The latest was 4-22-07.

Wild Turkey - 1 at Winton Ave. It was first seen last Monday by Peter Dramer. I have no idea about where this bird may have come from or if it is wild. The closest ones to here, that I know about, are in the Hayward hills. The only other record at the shoreline was 8-7-02.

Say's Phoebe - 1 seen on a fence that is on the east side of Cogswell Marsh. Seen by Peter Dramer. I only have 1 record at the shoreline that is later than this. It was 3-26-99.

Pacific-slope Flycatcher - 1 at Winton Ave. is the earliest in the year I have seen one at the shoreline. The only other March record was 3-31-07.

Warbling Vireo - 1 at Winton Ave. is the earliest in the year I have seen one at the shoreline.

Wilson's Warbler - 4 at Winton Ave. The earliest record I have for the shoreline is 3-18-07.

    Good birding
