Today (Sat, Feb 16), we had extensive views of a light-morph juvenile
FERRUGINOUS HAWK at Briones Regional Park. The hawk was first seen
just north of the Sindicich Lagoons along the Lagoon Trail. It was
polite enough to fly around the area while we sat on the bench in the
fenced area at the northern Sindicich Lagoon and was still visible as
far south as the junction of the Lagoon Trail with the Briones Crest Trail.

Unless my memory fails me, this is the same area where a Ferruginous
Hawk hung out around this time last year.

We didn't see anything else out of the ordinary. Best of the
    rest: 1 Band-tailed Pigeon flyby, 1 singing Hutton's Vireo, 3 Horned
    Larks, lots of Western Bluebirds.

    Good birding,
