A great day for birding at Garin Park today.  49
species, including RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROWS, CALIFORNIA
THRASHERS, and several RING-NECKED DUCKS.  

No burrowing owls at the Grain winter burrowing owl
colony.  I don't know if I was too late in the day
(10:30am), too late in the year, or if the cattle
stampeding into the valley just ahead of me scared
them off.
