He's (?) made it through another week.  We didn't see him Wednesday through
Friday morning, but at 6:05 last evening, amidst the White-crown pack, he
showed up at his favorite back yard feeder.  He stayed at the feeder for
several minutes while the other foraged mostly on the ground.  Then,
something scared them and they vanished into the shrubs.  It could have been
the Cooper's Hawk that was sitting on the fence at about that time Tuesday.
I'll post new pictures at Flicker later this weekend.
