    Birders:

The Glaucous Gull found by Kathy Robertson on December 16 continued on
the Horseshoe Lake's swimming beach in Quarry Lakes RP today.

It was loafing at the lake edge among a +/- 300 gull flock when I
arrived at 1:30 pm. Ten minutes later the flock flushed and I lost
track of the bird against the afternoon sun's glare. Over the next 20
minutes the flock rebuilt its numbers, but the Glaucous Gull was not
among them. Could have been out on the lake, hiding in the glare . . .

Apart from the American White Pelican at the edge of the beach, the
Glaucous Gull was the biggest, whitest bird in the neighborhood.

Thanks to Stephanie Floyd for posting her Thursday sighting.
