[EBB Sightings] Short-eared Owl, Coyote Hills Reg. Park

Hi all:

I've been trolling for short-eared owls on my way home
from work each night.  I assumed it was just a matter
of time, but until one pops up, you just don't know. 
Tonight at 5:55 I pulled into Coyote Hills just inside
of the entry kiosk, with 5 minutes to go 'til closing.
 A huge moth came beating across the marsh to the
south and morphed (that's kind of a mixed
analogy/metaphor/something) into a Short-eared Owl. A
unique and wonderful bird.
