In years past, they've been reported periodically in Emeryville behind the
Chevy's. Haven't heard any reports from there this year. The only other
places I've seen them in the Bay Area are at the Knob Hill Market Pond in
Redwood City and at Ogier Ponds, near Morgan Hill.

She was there yesterday morning, too - around 11, when I was setting out
to walk round the lake. Any idea where one would go to see a male Redhead?

The hybrid merganser/goldeneye was at the 12th-street bridge when I got
around there, swimming with a lot of scaup and a few goldeneyes.
