    Sorry for the delay.

Christmas Day brought some nice ducks to Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek.
There were two male Common Goldeneyes, two pairs of Ring-necked Ducks, the
female Ruddy Duck was still around and several Buffleheads. It was very
    cold before 9 AM.

Today, Dec. 26, I went closer to 10 AM and the duck species were down. 60
to 70 Canada Geese were in the pond near the 7 Hills School, a pair of
Ring-necked Ducks still in the big pond in park. Also, the Buffleheads are
still around, but I could not find the Ruddy Duck or the Goldeneyes. A
couple of California Gulls are mixed in with the Ring-billed Gulls which
hang out near the rose garden.

On my way home a flock of 90-100 crows flew over the houses on Sheppard
Road. This is just north of the Contra Costa Canal bicycle trail at the
    north end of Heather Farm.

Fred Safier has reported a Say's Phoebe at the bottom of the big hill, but I
haven't seen it yet. It has been seen here in the winter for sevral years
    now.

    Happy New Year to all.
