If you are planning a birding outing to the Martinez shoreline, don't miss
the Beaver dam on Alhambra Creek. The beavers will soon be trapped by the
Lindsay Wildlife Museum and relocated, because of flood concerns, so their
days on the creek are numbered.

If you have never seen a beaver dam they are amazing constructions. The
beavers themselves (four of them) are generally seen at night starting
around 6pm, from the bridge next to the historic Bertola's family
restaurant making this a fun evening adventure for the whole family.
Consider a flashlight for easier spotting from the bridge. You can
practically walk on top of the dam just 1/2 block toward Marina Vista,
    down a short path.

Between Marina Vista Avenue and Escobar Street, one block east of Alhambra
Avenue in downtown Martinez. Just look for the crowd on Escobar Street.
