Hi Birders-     

I stopped at Mt Trashmore, west end of Winton Ave in Hayward to look for the reported Chestnut-collared Longspur. Did not find it. But did have one Lapland Longspur near the NE corner. Later I flushed what was probably the same bird and it flew across the creek and landed in weeds/bushes on the landfill.
