Today 9/30 at the shoreline -

Peregrine Falcon - 3. This is only the fourth time I have seen 3.

Wandering Tattler - 1 at San Leandro Marina.

Surfbird - 1 at San Leandro Marina.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper - 1 seen early in the morning at the sludge pond
just south of Bockman Channel. It flew in at about 7:45 AM, and stayed
for at least 5 minutes. In the evening (6:00 - 7:00 PM) it could not
       be found.

Sabines Gull - 2 juveniles seen in the City of Hayward Ponds. The best place
to look for them is probably from the west end of Depot Road. They were
in the southwest corner of this pond. Where they were seen is probably
out of sight, but not by much and could very easily fly to where they
could be seen. Another area could be the southeast corner of Mt. Trashmore.
From here they must be flying to be seen. Don't look from here in the
morning, unless the sky is completely overcast, as you will be looking
into the sun. Depot Road will only have this problem in the afternoon.

American Pipit - 3. This is the first seen at the shoreline this fall. Even
though other places have had them for 1 or 2 weeks, this is early for the
first fall record at the shoreline. I have only had 6 earlier records for
the shoreline. 9-23 is the earliest.

    Good birding
