    >Perhaps if we knew the "meaning" of the sound(s), we might not interpret them as "just coincidental", but maybe as one of the sounds (the voiced sound?) being "intentionally" modeled after the other sound (the dive tail-pop)?
    
    Some of Chris Clark's research was conducted on the preserve. The tail feathers was the cause of the dive noise, but we heard the dive noise while the bird was perched as well, so they were imitating it.
    
    Reminded me of watching a lazy bull elk bugled while lying down, wouldn't get up unless a female was interested enough to come by and investigate the sound.
