We were at the Shorline, at the north end, entering from Grant St. We
went by the pond just the other side of the (name?) channel, and looked
and looked and looked for ibises, but didn't see any.

We did see a sandpiper that could have been a pectoral sandpiper.
Someone said that someone with a scope had said it was a pectoral
sandpiper, but we couldn't really tell with binoculars.

We walked on in, and saw the usual suspects. Many long billed curlews,
and a few black bellied plovers (with white bellies).

Then on the way back, we met up with a fellow who said the ibises had
been spooked by a truck driving by the other side of the pond. (A sewage
treatment plant truck?) The ibises had flown. We were walking by the
plant on the way back to the car, when this nice person _ran_ up after
us, yelling "they're back." So we ran back, and did see two ibises in
    the pond.

I'm sorry we didn't exchange names. This very nice person made our day.
