I just had to share this because it was so cute.

My front yard was replaced with native plants this year, but there
hasn't been much bird activity, versus having CA Towhees and Robins on
    the lawn at times.

This morning, in the back yard, the Red-breasted Nuthatch was back at
the peanut feeder, and Chickadees were picking at the near-empty seed
feeder, while a CA Towhee and a few House Finches (who usually empty the
seed feeder) were hanging around the dish that I sometimes put seed in,
    near the peanut feeder.

A bit later, I heard twittering Chickadees near the front corner of the
house, and the sprinklers had come on in that area. A couple of them
were hanging on to the 3-4' high Mock Orange and taking showers and
sipping a little water! And then, the Nuthatch joined them! It gave a
couple of "nah nah's" while hanging and fluttering to get all the parts
    washed.
