As Dave Quady reported, 2 BLACK SKIMMERS continue along the Richmond
shoreline between the 51st St trail and Meeker Slough, seen by us
from about 9:30 to 10:45 this morning (Sun, July 29). They were
actively skimming up and down the channels, later roosting as the
tide rose. The only terns were Caspian and Forster's.

A Clapper Rail was seen swimming across Meeker Slough just upstream
from the footbridge about 10:30 am.

A raft of about 30-40 American White Pelicans was seen on the Bay off
Albany mudflats. Assumably the same group flew over I-80 near
    Berkeley a few minutes later.

    Good birding,
