[EBB Sightings] Another phaino

This past Wednesday (6/13), a male Phainopepla was calling and flycatching at 
Mitchell Rock, above the canyon of the same name at Mt Diablo.   I was 
searching for Black-chinned Sparrows, and may have heard one along the saddle 
southeast of Eagle Peak, but it was distant and hard to isolate from the many other 
songs and calls that were sounding all over the area, and I saw and heard 
nothing more of the species.   Rufous-crowned and Sage Sparrows were present along 
the eastern flank of Eagle Peak.
