    >The sighting of Hutton's Vireo and, especially, MacGivillray's Warbler
    >would lead me to conclude that the big migration is now underway.
    Would
    >that be a good assumption?

I?ve been house bound most of the day, but this morning took a walk to
the market, along Acton St in Berkeley. I heard 3 different singing
Wilson?s Warblers along just a few blocks (how many were not singing?)
Also saw a female L Bunting in some church landscaping. And this is
south Berkeley, not the best habitat. Seems like a wave alright.

Per Hutton?s Vireo: I?ve often wondered about them. Supposedly they?re
non-migratory, but I?ll swear they seem like migrants in the fall. I
mean they show up in migrant trap sorts of places, outside their
preferred habitat. I saw one in Death Valley once, and PRBO catches
    them on sometimes South Farallon.
