This is an exceptionally early date for this very rare spring migrant.
Earliest arrival in San Diego County is 21 April.  In Monterey County, they
usually arrive on breeding territories the last week of April, but there is
a sight record for 17 April.  Sonoma County has an early arrival date of 24
April on breeding grounds.   Earliest arrival I could find for Oregon was
14 April.
