Today (Sun, 3/11), the highlight of a short hike at Briones Regional
Park was a large FERRUGINOUS HAWK seen near the Sindicich
"Lagoons". It was interacting with a Northern Harrier, but it was
    unclear who was harassing whom.

The next best birds were 4 Horned Larks and 2 Lark Sparrows near the
intersection of Old Briones Road and the Briones Crest Trail.

The resident nesters are all ready for spring, including an afternoon
teed-up singing Bewick's Wren, Western Bluebirds setting up shop in a
    nest box, and Killdeer copulating.

    Good birding,
