    Hi birders,

Today (3/4/07) I saw a male "EURASIAN" GREEN-WINGED TEAL at Coyote Hills
Regional Park (RP) in Fremont. It was on the ponds south of the Quarry parking
    lot.

Yesterday (3/3/07), there was a first-cycle GLAUCOUS GULL at Quarry Lakes RP
(on Rainbow Lake), also in Fremont.

Late report from last weekend (Sun, 2/25/07): I saw the RED-NECKED GREBE,
previously reported by Art Edwards, at Shadow Cliffs RP in Pleasanton
(probably a returning bird from last year). Of note, you can see six of the seven
North American grebe species on this little lake (Western, Clark's, Pied-bill,
    Eared, Horned, Red-necked) -- I'm still hoping for a Least Grebe ;-)

    Good birding,
    Kathy Robertson
