[EBB Sightings] Varied thrush

The ongoing discussion of Varied thrush numbers this year seems to me  
a little misplaced.  For many years (from the mid 1970's through the  
80's) there were always several in my yard in Orinda every winter.   
They have been scarce in recent years.  This year they are back.  Why  
not "where have they been in the last few years?".
