[EBB Sightings] Merry Christmas Birds

This morning (Christmas) at 10:30 a.m., I saw 5 Mew Gulls in a rain pond on Jack London Blvd, just W. of Isabel Avenue, which is accessible from Airport Way, an exit from Hwy 580 in Livermore.  There were about 15 there yesterday.  I had not seen Mew Gulls in Livermore Valley since 2004.

At the Las Positas Golf Course, I saw two male Eurasian Wigeons from Clubhouse Road, with about 80 American Wigeons.  According to the head groundsman, they have been there for several weeks, and move around the golf course.  Another place to look is in a small pond about 100 yards NE from the NE corner of the main parking lot.
