[EBB Sightings] Falcons over Rheem Valley

Hi E. B. Birders,

This morning gusty winds at my apartment in Moraga
blew a Merlin past my window, which I then I got to
watch kiting in excellent morning sunlight just above
the apartment next to me.  This was a foraging
behavior I hadn't seen before by a Merlin. 

At about 1:00 pm there was a pair of Peregrine Falcons
over the apartment.  One of them had something in its
talons.   I can only guess, with the wind coming in
from the north, it was creating great updrafts on the
open space and cliff below my apartment. The Peregrine
Falcons were new to my yard list.
