While leading a Yolo Audubon Society field trip today to several sights in
the East Bay, including Miller-Knox Park, Albany Mud Flats, Berkeley Aquatic
Park, Arrowhead Marsh and Lake Merritt, our group observed the following birds of
    interest:

    Miller-Knox Park - Richmond
Western Grebe - a raft of 186 birds scoped near the Richmond-SR Bridge; no
doubt some Clark's mixed in, just too far off to distinguish.
Horned and Eared Grebe - several of each
    Black-bellied Plover 36
    Spotted Sandpiper 3
    Surfbird 1

As previously posted, the male Eurasian Wigeon continued at the Albany Mud
Flats, however, an hour long search for the Tufted Duck at Lake Merritt failed
to turn up the bird. All in all, an incredibly beautiful day during which we
    tallied 80 species.
