[EBB Sightings] A very strange California Towhee

Dear Birders:

For the last week or so, a California Towhee has been visiting my
feeder which appears perfectly normal except for the whitish color on
its secondaries -- not a bright white but more a dusting of white. At
first I thought this particular bird had acquired this unusual addition
by having gotten into something. But the color and its location on its
feathers remains the same. Several other normal Ca. Towhees continue to
visit and appear to take no notice of this aberrant relative.

Any thoughts?
