Today, before lunch, I found a family of Hooded Mergansers (a pr. & 2 immatures) and a possible family group of Common Mergansers (definitely 1 adult male & 4 other birds) in the pond at Union City's city offices. It's located on Alvarado Niles, across from the school. The narrowness of the pond affords great photo opportunities.
