[EBB Sightings] strange yard bird

A couple of days ago I saw a most unusual finch at my feeders in my  
Montclair yard.  It definitely had the shape and coloring of a house  
finch except for the WHITE face, rump and large white patch on the  
right wing.  It was with a mixed flock of house finches, lesser and  
American goldfinches.  I had a good look at it and was able to  
compare its characteristics to the house finches which it matched  
exactly except for the white.  I have not seen it again but that  
doesn't mean it isn't still around.  Because the face looked like a  
mask, it made me think it was getting ready for Halloween.
