Pelagic Cormorant

On Saturday, 9/30 I saw a Pelagic Cormorant on Lake Merritt, working
under the docks in front of the boathouse.  I did not report it, as my
computer email was inoperative.

Yesterday, 10/12 I was again at Lake Merritt and again saw a Pelagic
Cormorant.  It was near the white floats that separate the lake from
the nature preserve, and trying to get up on one.  It was near the west
end of this barrier (boathouse parking lot).

Everyone always assumes all the cormorants on Lake Merritt are
Double-crested Cormorants, and pay little attention to them.

This is not a rare bird, but my first for this location.
