    Hi again.
I was out at Cesar Chavez Park in Berkeley early
this afternoon and spotted something floating in the
water. It eventually washed right up to the boulders
facing the sea walls at the entrance to the marina and
turned out to be what looked like a dead common murre.
(As I was trying to figure out what it was, I
discovered a seal or sea lion carcass [that spelling
doesn't look right] wedged in the rocks.)
I'm asking myself if this was a strange coincidence
after seeing the dying murre last night in Richmond,
if somehow that same bird wasn't eaten by the crows
and washed down the bay shore (which, of course, I
really doubt) of if there's something happening to the
murres showing up along the East Bay shore.
I may call the International Bird Rescue folks too
see if they have any ideas.
I know it's natural, but I've had enough death "in
    the wild" for a while.
