[EBB Sightings] western tanager?

Hi Birders,

Just to add a P.S. to Phila's message, on Sunday, July 30, I saw a flash of
yellow fly across my backyard.  My binocs are always handy at this window
and so I looked to see what bird it was.  It stayed put long enough for me
to see it and it was a western tanager.  This is only the second time that I
have sighted this bird in my yard, the last time was May 15, 2004.

My house is in northwest Walnut Creek, west of Hwy 680 and about one mile
south of Larkey Park.
