Today the Cooper's Hawks in the Rose Garden, Oakland fledged 2 young. These are the pair I have reported on several times.

Apparently there is a male and a female, judging from their relative sizes.

They are staying close to each other, and chasing the more visible neighborhood birds, notably Mourning Doves. The doves fly off and immediately return to their perches, not seeming too upset. I guess they know that these hawks can't catch them. I haven't seen the young catch anything. They are still learning how to land, and fall off things.
