    Dear Birders:

Yesterday morning I posted that a black and white warbler was seen and heard
in one of the small oaks at the circle near the gate in the Jewel Lake
parking. I had forgotten that there are two gates in the parking lot -- one
that is always open after 8 am when you enter the lot and the other at the
far north end where there is a planted circle with young live oaks. This is
the one I meant (in the off-chance that the bird is still in the vicinity).

I volunteered to write the posting for Emilie Strauss who with her friend,
Mike McClosky, saw the bird. A half hour later I checked the area and
couldn't find it. The area by then was crowded with picnickers.
