[EBB Sightings] new yard bird- wild turkey

Boy was I surprised when I saw a very large bird sitting on my lower
deck railing.  A wild turkey was just sitting there preening in the
rain, totally content.  I don't know how long it had been there but it
stayed more than an hour and when it left there was a variety of
feathers and lots of turkey poop.  I have lived at this address for 34
years and this is the first time I have seen a turkey in the yard.
Later while I was working at the computer it came strolling up the side
of the hill past my window.  It seems to be by itself.  I always thought
they liked to be in groups.  My large Maine Coon cat was not too sure
what to make of such a big bird.

I live in Montclair on Arrowhead Drive just below Skyline Blvd.
