    Greetings EBB'ers,

This morning ca. 8:30 AM, a small hummingbird flew near my deck and perched
in a nearby Coyotebush. She showed characteristics of female Black-chinned
Hummingbird. Small, mostly white throat and breast (no grayish-Anna's
Hummingbird-like wash). The thin, black bill was extremely long. Perhaps it will
accept sugar water from my feeders, so I can look for the characteristic
undulating (bobbing) of the tail in flight. I can't completely rule out Costa's
Hummingbird, but the jiz of the bird wasn't right. Now to get to the southern
    deserts for more study!

    Happy Birding,
    Phil Gordon
