    Following are the highlights from two good birding days,
    February 24-25.
    
    Friday, February 24:
    
    White-fronted Geese:  2 on Jack London Blvd S of the
         Livermore airport at 8:20 am.
    
    Eurasian Wigeon, male:  1 on Golf Club road, the entrance
         to the Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore at 8:10 am.
    
    Red-necked Grebe:  1 at Shadow Cliffs Park on Stanley
          Blvd E of Pleasanton, in NW corner near the beach,
          at 9 am.
    
    Bald Eagle, adult:  1 at Del Valle Park SE of Livermore,
         perched in a Gray Pine across the lake from the
         Hetch Hetchy picnic area, 11 am.
    
    Common Moorhen:  1 adult in the creek just S of the
         water slide parking lot at Shadow Cliffs Park, at
         9:30 am.
    
    Saturday, Feb. 25, with George Bing:
    
    Costa's Hummingbird, male:  1 in Del Puerto Canyon,
         Stanislaus Co., at mp 3.4 (Owl Rocks), in the tree
         tobacco on the N side of the road.
    
    Cliff Swallow:  several in Corral Hollow, San Joaquin Co.,
         just E of the Castle Rock Fire Station, (my year first).
        
    Rock Wren:  2 in Del Puerto Canyon, at mp 2 and 7.4.
    
    House Wren:  1 in Del Puerto Canyon at Owl Rock.
    
    Rufous-crowned Sparrow:  2 in Del Puerto Canyon,
         at mp 7.4 and 7.8.
    
    Sage Sparrow:  1 in San Antonio Valley, 0.7 mi N of
         the Junction Cafe, at the little creek just S of the
        cattle guard.
