    Hi E.B Birders,

This afternoon, about 12:30pm, I saw the adult Bald
    Eagle at the Lafayette Reservoir.

I had hoped to see the eagle while scouting for a
field trip I will be leading for Golden Gate Audubon
this coming Saturday. Unfortunately, I didn't find
it, although I had started birding from the dam at
8:30 am, and spent most of my time on the rim trail.

As I was driving away, I happen to see the eagle
circling high over the pines on the southeast side of
the dam parking lot. I got out of my car and scoped
it for about 5 minutes. It crossed the reservoir to
the west, and I finally lost track of it when it
joined a raptor/vulture group rising in a thermal over
    the Berkeley/Oakland hills.

I didn't see the Red Phalarope, but enjoyed seeing
four Ospreys at one time, circling and calling over
    the reservoir.

    All the Best Birding,
