    The palm warbler was seen again on Friday, Jan. 27 12:45pm near the same=20
    spot it was first found in December by Denise. On 5th Ave, below Embarcado,=20
    Oakland waterfront. When I arrived a flock of 4-5 yellow-rumped warblers wer=
    e=20
    feeding on the ground in the empty lot. I had a good feeling about this. The=
    n the=20
    palm warbler popped up and perched on the fennel, in the area where balloon=20
    ribbons are entangled in the fence. A truck pulling a boat then came by and=20=
    it=20
    had dissappeared, and was not refound two hours later when I returned.=20

    "This morning, while scouting out my recently acquired
    sub-area for the Oakland Christmas Bird Count, Pat
    Bacchetti, Sue Cox, and I found a Palm Warbler.

    This bird was seen on 5th street, off Embarcadero,
    west of I-880 in Oakland.=A0 The bird was in a leafless
    tree at the entrance to the last driveway on the
    right, just before the road dead-ended.=A0 It then
    hopped to the ground and nearby shrubs.=A0 Morning light
    made it very easy to see the bright yellow undertail
    coverts as the bird bobbed its back end.=A0 The crown
    was faded chestnut and the overall plumage of the bird
    was rather dull."
