    Hi Birders,
    
    I made a quick stop by the San Leandro Marina just after high tide today 
    (Sun, 12/4).  The White-winged Scoters have returned -- I saw two males just 20-30 
    ft. offshore.  They were in the same location I have reported them in 
    previous years, at the end of the peninsula where the Marina Office is located, near 
    the USS Argonaut memorial.  The best time to look for these birds is at high 
    tide, when they come in very close to shore.
    
    There was also a single male Barrow's Goldeneye in the same area.
