A trip to Coyote Hills on Friday turned up more than
50 species of birds. Some of the highlights:
A ROCK WREN is in residence in the same rock
outcroppings as last year. (All the way to the top of
the ridge behind the visitor center, then turn right
and walk up the ridge another 100 feet or so.) A
LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE was also found there. A LINCOLN'S
SPARROW was found in the grass lands overlooking the
    bay.

A great place to practice winter duck IDs if you are
    feeling a bit rusty!
