Many months ago, I spotted a Yellow Rail at Arrowhead Marsh. My sighting lasted less than 1 second, so I did not report it.

I am 90% convinced that my sighting is valid. I would like to know how I might confirm it.

Is there a call I might listen for? Early AM? Midnight?

Has anyone else seen Yellow Rail at Arrowhead?

    Help?

Today, Thursday, at high tide at 12:40 PM, a Black Rail was well seen by four birders in our group about 30 feet north of the boardwalk at Arrowhead Marsh, near the Oakland airport, Alameda County.

I can't recall any reports of a Black Rail at Arrowhead. Can anyone say how unusual this is for that location?

In addition, we saw one and heard several, perhaps close to a dozen, Clapper Rails but that is normal for Arrowhead.
