[EBB Sightings] Martinez sightings

Of possible interest to local birders, this morning I took an hour walk on the unnamed trail heading south in Carquinez S.R.S. Park near the end of Carquinez Scenic Drive and saw:
2 Varied Thrush
4 Acorn Woodpeckers
10 Wild Turkeys 
1 Hermit Thrush
several other typical oak woodland species
Also heard a Western Screech-Owl at the end of Warren St before 7:00 am
 
Also (a litttle belatedly) on Saturday,  I  birded Waterfont Road between 5:45 pm and dusk in the vicinity of Pt Edith State Wildlife Area(no access) and the fenced off pond near the dump
( very limited parking best very early am or late outside dump operating hours):
Snowy Egret
Black-necked Stilt
American Avocet
Lesser Yellowlegs-1
Greater Yellowlegs
Long-billed Dowitcher
Killdeer
Western Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
White-tailed Kite
N. Harrier
A. Kestrel
Loggerhead Shrike
Say's Phoebe
W. Meadowlark
several other common species
 
 
earlier the same day I visited Marinez Regional Shoreline 
and spotted 2 male C. Yellowthroat
heard Marshwren
heard 1 Sora
Marbled Godwit
lots of Sparrows (Gc, Wc, Song, Sav)
C Geese and Mallards were the only waterfowl seen
 
Waterbird Reg Park is dry and virtually birdless, no sign of Great-tailed Grackles
that used to hang out here
