    Today at the Hayward Shoreline

Cooper's Hawk - 2 fledglings and 1 adult male, at Winton where they nested.
Hooded Oriole - 2, at Winton.
Red Knot - approxomately 200, mostly in breeding plumage, a few were not.
Dunlin - 1 at the mouth of San Lorenzo Creek, was in breeding plumage.
    Black Turnstones - 3, near Johnson's Landing.
    Sanderling - 2 at Frank's Dump West.
Ross's Goose - 1, at San Lorenzo Community Park. Was wild when It migrated in several winters ago, but not now.

Frank's Dump West has more water in it than I recall seeing this time of year. Most shorebirds are on the north side, best seen from along Sulfur Creek.

    Good birding

    Bob
