[EBB Sightings] Juv Golden Eagle above Claremont

Hi again.
  I was out on my bike this afternoon, on Alvarado
just off of Claremont in Claremont Canyon (Berkeley
Hills) and heard a familiar call. Sure enough, high
overhead was a juvenile golden eagle. I didn't have my
binoculars with me, but could see the white wing
patches. It was flying alone, which makes me suspect
it wasn't too fresh out of the nest. How long do they
keep the wing patches?
  Didn't see much else as I huffed and puffed up the
canyon, other than some Stellars jays and sparrows.
