As Lance Beeson said several times, the Great Horned Owls are still
there in Wildcat Canyon. I saw two of them Friday night about 8:00 at
the very northern end of the fence that runs north and south along the
tree line. Thanks for the directions, Lance.

Thanks also to the people who mentioned there were burrowing owls at the
western edge of the Sybase lot in Dublin. There they were on Arnold
Drive just north of Dublin Road. They were also at the NE corner of
Dublin Rd/ Tassajara Road. At the next street light north, I saw two
kestrels in a tree just to the right by some abandoned farm equipment.
On the NW corner in a park I saw the Western Meadowlark that someone
also mentioned. All these birds were basically where they were described
    days ago.

If anyone wants photos of any of the above, email me at
cpeter1071 at aol.com and I will send then to you.

As Katbird mentioned, there are tons of birds east of Livermore on
Herdly Rd and Kelso Rd. I saw at least 24 Great Blue Herons on Herdly
with many Swainson's hawks circling overhead as well as eating mice in
the field. I watched them for hours from about 11 until 3:30 yesterday.
I saw at least 100 Swainsons. Did not know there were so many! By the
way, there were many crows and hawks near a barn and grove of trees on
Kelso, so I asked someone across the street if they owned it and they
said yes and that I could walk out there to take pictures.
